Well does this sound familiar?
.. Yes I hear its good fun but no-one else I know wants to go.:`(
.. Those places are usually a bit clicky :'(
.. I'd like to yes, not this week though maybe next week.U-(
.. I cant dance to save my life I'll make a fool of myself
.. I wouldnt know what to wear:??:
.. Could I just watch and see if its for meB)
.. Id feel embarrassed dancing with people I dont know:oops:
.. Yes I've thought about it but never gone;D

For about a year a I was hearing about a salsa class not far from me, a mechanic I know was saying how much fun it was, what a great social life he'd built from the people he'd met, how I should give it a go etc and all the above and more thoughts went through my mind.
But let me tell you this, I went on my own one night (see..you dont have to go with anyone else..) and found that lots of people went on their own so that was barrier one out of the way!
It wasnt clicky at all..everyone there had once taken the plunge to go along and knew what it was like to have the get up and go to actually GO.
There were people at all stages in different groups from absolute beginners so it didnt matter that I couldnt dance, nor could anyone of the 40 or so others in the beginners class.
Some people wore jeans some were dressed up..it didnt matter, that you felt comfortable was the main thing.
Although you had to pay £6 you were under no obligation to join in at all, you could buy a drink at the bar and watch and join in if you wanted to.
Everyone changed partners in between stages of the dance steps like every 2 minutes or so in a rotaion circle, and most were laughing at themselves so the ice got broken very quickly! Everyone was in the same boat.

So on here in my next post I'll let you see where the clubs are and what days. Check back, and in the meantime think about it, a couple of hours doing something different and fun to your week will make you feel out of the rut for a bit, if nothing else!
